On Tuesday, November 7, Indian Mountain students on the Upper Campus went to the polls to vote for the president of the United States. Just like the real election, electoral votes would be the deciding factor for which candidate won. The total number of electoral votes on the Upper Campus was 39 with the two candidates needing at least 20 to be the overall winner. The fifth grade had the fewest number of electoral votes with three, while the eighth grade had the most with 12.

With 68% of the student body voting, President Obama was re-elected to a second term by winning the electoral votes of each grade. The results were announced Wednesday morning by the history department chair, Mr. Shuman.
