Welcome to the rabbit. As the New Year begins, students from the Upper School took on the role of educators to introduce the Year of the Rabbit to the students of the Lower School.

The Chinese New Year has begun and members of the Diversity Committee used arts and crafts along with trivia to teach the customs of China. Students made rabbits, rabbit faces, and Chinese fans. Each student decorated their project with various Chinese symbols or decorations.

In addition to these projects, the students learned more about Chinese culture, where China is located globally, and what year each student was born. Students enjoyed guessing what year their teachers were born in, with ooh’s and ahh’s echoing as children imagined life “so long ago.”

An added treat to these festivities included Chinese egg rolls and fortune cookies fo all to enjoy in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
